Report: Aces' Delgado to Start for Diamondbacks on Tuesday

PHOENIX - Several reports out of Phoenix confirm that Randall Delgado will be called up by the Diamondbacks to make a start on Tuesday.

He'll take Ian Kenedy's spot in the pitching rotation. Kennedy dropped his appeal on Monday night, accepting a 10-game suspension for his role in a brawl with the Dodgers last week.

Delgado is 2-5 with a 5.91 ERA in 13 starts with Reno this season. He's got 57 strikeouts in 64 innings pitched.

He was called up by Arizona on June first to add some depth in their bullpen. He did not appear in any games, and was sent back down to Triple-A Reno two days later.

The Diamondbacks host the Miami Marlins on Tuesday.
