MIAMI - Reno's Scott Cousins has been optioned to Triple-A New Orleans.
Cousins was batting just .167 in 46 games with the Marlins. He was 13-for-78 at the plate, with one home run and three RBI.
He was much better in Triple-A this season, batting .292 with 10 doubles, seven home runs and 32 RBI.
Cousins is a graduate of North Valleys high school.
