LOS ANGELES - Outfielder Scott Cousins was claimed off of waivers by the Angels on Friday, and was added to their 40-man roster.
It's been a busy offseason for Cousins. He was originally claimed by the Blue Jays back in October, then placed on waivers. The Mariners claimed him last month, but designated him for assignment two weeks later.
Cousins has a .183 batting average while appearing in 128 Major League games over three seasons with the Marlins.
He had a great year last season in Triple-A, hitting .286 with seven home runs and 36 RBI in 61 games with the New Orleans Zephyrs.
Cousins is a graduate of North Valleys high school in Reno.
