Reno's Gardner to Visit Raiders

OAKLAND, Calif. - Former Hug high school star Courtney Gardner will make a pre-draft visit to the Oakland Raiders on Friday.

Gardner had signed to play college football at Oklahoma last year, but was ruled academically ineligible. He then committed to LSU, but never played for the Tigers.

The 6-foot-3, 225 pound wide receiver was a junior college All-American at Sierra College in Rocklin. He caught 61 passes for 1,099 yards with 13 touchdowns last season.

He originally committed to play at Nevada as a senior at Hug. He was unable to qualify academically, and never suited up for the Wolf Pack.
