Reno's Chris Carr Signs with Chargers

SAN DIEGO - Chris Carr has signed a contract with the San Diego Chargers. He announced the move on his Twitter account on Monday. His agent also confirmed it to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Carr signed with the Vikings during the offseason, and was one of their final cuts this preseason.

He spent the last three seasons as a cornerback with the Baltimore Ravens. He started all 16 games in 2010, but injuries cut his season short last year, playing in just six games and only starting one for Baltimore. He has 209 tackles and six interceptions during his seven-year career.

Carr was an All-WAC player at Boise State. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Raiders back in 2005. He played three seasons for Oakland and one for Tennessee.

Carr was the State Player of the Year at McQueen high school
