Reed's Devin Gray Out with Broken Collarbone

SPARKS - Reed's star wide receiver Devin Gray will miss the Northern Title Game with a broken collarbone.

Gray suffered the injury during Friday's win over Spanish Springs in the Regional Semifinals.

Gray tweeted "Worst day ever when you can't play the sport you love in high school anymore and there's nothing you can do." He also wrote "I can't play anymore.. But I know my team will do work and win no matter what! I'm sorry. Go all the way."

Gray was a major weapon for Reed, leading the Northern Division I with 79 receptions this season. He had 1,087 receiving yards and 13 TD's. He also added three rushing touchdowns.

Gray scored two touchdowns in the Semifinal game.

Reed (8-3) takes on Damonte Ranch (5-5) on Friday night at Mackay Stadium. Kickoff is at 6:10pm. The game will also air live on KNPB.
