DETROIT (AP) - Henrik Zetterberg may play for the Detroit Red Wings in a critical Game 4 against the Boston Bruins.
Red Wings coach Mike Babcock told reporters that doctors would ultimately decide if Zetterberg can play Thursday night for the first time since having back surgery Feb. 21. Zetterberg has been skating this week with his teammates.
Detroit expects to be without forward Daniel Alfredsson for a second straight game because of his back injury. Babcock says he expects Alfredsson to be healthy enough to play Saturday afternoon at Boston in Game 5.
The Red Wings plan to play 39-year-old forward Todd Bertuzzi in Game 4, when they will try to even the first-round series, and scratch 21-year-old forward Tomas Jurco.
