MILWAUKEE - Former Reno Aces third baseman Cody Ransom has been claimed off of waivers by the Milwaukee Brewers.
Ransom was designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks on Monday. He was batting .269 in 17 games with the D'backs, with four home runs and 13 RBI.
Ransom holds the Aces franchise records in home runs and RBI, hitting 27 homers with 92 RBI last season. He was also a Triple-A All-Star in 2011.
