NEW YORK (AP) - Andy Pettitte is set to rejoin the New York Yankees and start this Sunday at home against the Seattle Mariners.
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said Tuesday that there's no benefit in Pettitte remaining in the minors.
The former ace lefty of the Yankees retired after the 2010 season and sat out last year. He made a comeback this year in spring training.
Cashman says the plan for Pettitte to pitch this weekend could change depending on the weather.
