EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - When the Minnesota Vikings play at Washington this weekend, Adrian Peterson will be returning to the scene of his devastating knee injury less than 10 months after it happened.
And he's returning at close to 100 percent.
The next step in Peterson's remarkable recovery comes Sunday against the Redskins. Peterson says he still thinks about that day last season when he tore the ACL in his left knee at FedEx Field. But he says he's moved on and is more focused on helping the Vikings to improve to 5-1 this season.
Peterson has been bothered by a sore left ankle. But he says there's no doubt in his mind he'll be able to play.
