INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Pete Weber had a 300 game and took the second-round lead Wednesday night in the PBA Tournament of Champions at Woodland Bowl.
The 50-year-old Weber, from St. Ann, Mo., had a 3,875 total. He's trying to tie the late Earl Anthony's PBA major victory record of 10.
Weber had a 41-pin lead over reigning player of the year Sean Rash of Montgomery, Ill., with eight more qualifying games remaining Thursday before the field is cut to 24 for round-robin match play.
