Pack Falters in Second Half, Loses to SDSU

RENO, Nev. - The Wolf Pack went cold in the second half, getting blown out by San Diego State 78-57.

Nevada rallied late in the first half, coming back from an early 12-point deficit to cut the lead to one at halftime. But the Aztecs went on a 22-to-7 run to close it out over the final ten minutes.

Malik Story led Nevada (10-8, 1-3 MWC) with 17 points, scoring 15 in the first half alone. Jerry Evans Jr. had 14 points and seven rebounds. Deonte Burton added 12 points and six assists.

Chase Tapley scored 17 points for San Diego State (15-4, 3-2 MWC) while Jamaal Franklin chipped in 14.

The Wolf Pack hosts Boise State on Saturday afternoon. Tip off is scheduled for 1pm at Lawlor Events Center.
