INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A person with knowledge of the deal says the Indiana Pacers traded longtime forward Danny Granger and a second-round draft pick to Philadelphia in exchange for Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen.
The person confirmed the deal, first reported by Yahoo Sports, to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because it was still pending league approval.
It was widely believed Indiana was finished fine-tuning its roster after signing another former 76ers player, free agent Andrew Bynum on Feb. 1.
But with Granger and his expiring contract, the Pacers and rebuilding 76ers agreed to a deal.
The injury-prone Granger had averaged 8.3 points since returning from a strained left calf in late December.
Turner led the 76ers in scoring at 17.4 points per game, while Allen was averaging 5.2 points.
