RENO, Nev.— Reno Aces infielder Nick Evans was named Pacific Coast League Player of the Week by the Pacific Coast League today for the week of May 5-11.
Evans hit .483 with seven extra-base hits, six runs, and a minor league-best 15 RBI last week, including three consecutive games with four or more RBI and six straight multi-hit games.
Evans, who is currently riding an eight-game hitting streak, is now among the Pacific Coast League-leaders in RBI (T-1st, 36), home runs (4th, 10), extra-base hits (1st, 22), slugging percentage (1st, .709), and batting average (9th, .350).
