RENO - Wolf Pack punter Chase Tenpenny was named the Mountain West Conference Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday.

Tenpenny, a senior from Kansas, punted four times for a 51.2 average in Nevada's 38-16 win over San Jose State on Saturday. That is the seventh-best single game per punt average in school history.

Two of the punts were downed at the six yard line, and none of the four punts yielded any return yardage.

Tenpenny also earned Honorable Mention Punter of the Week from the College Football Performance Awards.

The Wolf Pack (4-7, 3-5 MWC) have a bye this week before they host BYU (7-3) in the season finale on November 30th. Kickoff is at 12pm at Mackay Stadium. The game will be shown live on the CBS Sports Network.
