RENO, Nev. - Wolf Pack running back Stefphon Jefferson was named a second team Walter Camp All-American on Thursday.
Jefferson ranks fourth nationally with 1,703 rushing this season. And he's second in the country, averaging 141.92 yards per game.
He is third on Nevada’s single-season charts, trailing just Frank Hawkins (1,719 in 1980) and Chance Kretschmer (1,732 in 2001).
"It's a blessing. It's very humbling," said Jefferson when asked about the honor. "I never thought all of this would have happened, but I'm happy it did."
Jefferson was one of just three non-BCS players named to the Walter Camp first or second teams.
This is the second All-America accolade for Jefferson, who was named to the third team by CBSSports.com on Monday.
