RENO, Nev. - Nevada senior guard Jerry Evans, Jr. was arrested Friday on a failure to appear / obey court order charge, a misdemeanor. He was booked and released on $565 bail.

Evans was arrested in May on a contempt of court charge, stemming from an unpaid traffic ticket. Nevada men's basketball SID Jack Kuestermeyer told KOLO 8 that this may have been the same warrant from May, and that Evans says he has been making the necessary payments since then. That is currently being reviewed.

Evans averaged 7.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game last season as a junior.
