Nevada's Jefferson a Candidate for Vegas Bowl Player of the Week

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Wolf Pack running back Stefphon Jefferson is one of four candidates for the Mountain West Player of the Week Award, handed out by the Las Vegas Maaco Bowl.

Jefferson ran for a career-high 247 yards and two touchdowns in Nevada's 45-34 win over Northwestern State. It was 100 yards more than his previous career-high.

Jefferson is second nationally with 529 yards rushing this season.

He was named the National Running Back of the Week on Sunday.
