Nevada sophomore Chrisalyn Fonte was named to the All-Mountain West second team.
The Union City, Calif. native has scored five of Nevada’s 12 goals this season. Fonte has also recorded a team high 13 points, dishing out three assists on the year.
Fonte and the No. 6 seed Wolf Pack (6-9-3, 2-3-2 MW) will open up the 2012 Mountain West Women’s Soccer Tournament Wednesday afternoon against No. 3 seed Boise State (9-8-2, 4-2-1 MW) at 4 p.m.
The tournament will be held in San Diego, Calif., at the SDSU Sports Deck, October 31-November 4. Cristen Drummond (All-WAC second team) was the last member of the program to receive a conference honor, during the 2010 season.
