Nevada's Brett Roy Released by Jets

NEW JERSEY - Former Wolf Pack defensive tackle Brett Roy was released by the Jets on Friday in their final round of cuts. He was given an injury settlement, limited by concussions for most of training camp.

Roy went un-drafted out of Nevada, but signed a free agent deal with the team back in April.

Roy was named first-team All-American by Sports Illustrated this past season. He led the Wolf Pack with 10 sacks and 18.5 tackles for loss. His 66 total tackles ranked fifth for Nevada.
