RENO, Nev. - Wolf Pack running back Stefphon Jefferson was named a third team AP All-American on Tuesday.

He's just the seventh Wolf Pack player to earn Associated Press All-America honors, and the first since Vai Taua back in 2010.

Jefferson ranks fourth nationally with 1,703 rushing this season. And he's second in the country, averaging 141.92 yards per game.

He is third on Nevada’s single-season charts, trailing just Frank Hawkins (1,719 in 1980) and Chance Kretschmer (1,732 in 2001).

This is the third All-American honor for Jefferson this season. He was named to the second team by Walter Camp and to the third team by last week.
