RENO - Wolf Pack running back Don Jackson has accepted an invitation to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. It's a postseason all-star game for draft-eligible players.
Jackson ran for 1,078 yards on 229 carries this season, averaging 4.7 yards per carry. He also scored eight rushing touchdowns. He ranks 14th in school history with 2,367 rushing yards. He also scored 21 total touchdowns during his three-years at Nevada.
The Collegiate Bowl is on January 23rd at California State University Dominguez Hills. Kickoff is scheduled for 3pm, and it will air nationally on ESPN2. The team practices will be shown live on January 20th and 21st on ESPNU.
He'll join teammate Ian Seau, who was invited to play in the game earlier this month.
Last season, former Wolf Pack defensive end Brock Hekking and offensive lineman Kyle Roberts played in the Collegiate Bowl. Hekking is now in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers, while Roberts is with the Denver Broncos. Former Pack tackle Jeff Nady also played in the game back in 2013.
