Nevada Picks Up Verbal Commitment From Running Back James Butler

The Nevada Wolf Pack football team received a verbal commitment from Wheaton, IL running back James Butler.

The 5-9, 205 pound Butler ran for 1,185 yards and 19 touchdowns on 138 carries this season at St. Francis High School. He also made 8 catches for 111 yards.

Butler had offers from Temple and Eastern Illinois, and received interest from Purdue and Iowa.

He confirmed his verbal commitment to Nevada on Twitter: "Thanks everybody who has supported since day one, I have officially committed to the University of Nevada-Reno!! �� #WolfPack"
