The University of Nevada women’s basketball team fell 67-39 to San Diego State in the quarterfinal round of the 2013 MW Basketball Championship Thursday afternoon at Thomas & Mack Center.

“We would like to congratulate San Diego State,” head coach Jane Albright said. “They are a top-25 team. Their pressure really bothered us early. I am pleased with the way our team matured over the course of the season. We will give our players some time off and then get back to work, as we will look to return stronger next season.”

With the loss, Nevada ends the season (8-23, 2-14 MW) while San Diego State improves to (25-5, 15-1 MW) and will advance to Thursday’s semifinal game at noon against the winner of today’s UNLV and New Mexico quarterfinal game.
