Bishop Manogue senior James Sandoval will play basketball at Linfield College next season.

Sandoval, a 5-foot-11 point guard, committed to the school by submitting his matriculation fee through the Linfield admissions office, according to a school press release.

He's a three-year starter on the Miners basketball team, averaging 14 points, five assists and two steals per game.

"James is an intelligent, crafty and skilled combo guard who will bring a variety of talents to Linfield, on and off the floor, " said head coach Shanan Rosenberg in the release. "He will make a great Wildcat."

The Linfield Wildcats are a Division III basketball team based in Oregon.

Sandoval is the son of Brian Sandoval, the current Governor of Nevada.
