Mallory McGwire Named Gatorade Player of the Year for Nevada

Reno Huskies sophomore center Mallory McGwire has been named the Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year for the state of Nevada.

McGwire averaged 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks per game, helping to lead the Huskies to a 30-1 record and their second straight state championship. She also maintained a 3.15 grade point average in the classroom.

McGwire is the third ever Reno High School girls basketball player to win this award.
