LJUBLJANA, Slovenia (AP) - Lithuania moved closer to a spot in the quarterfinals of the European basketball championship with an 86-67 win over Belgium on Friday.
Jonas Valanciunas had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Belgium fell to 0-4 and was eliminated. Lithuania improved to 3-1 in the second round and looks likely to clinch one of the top four places in its group.
Mindaugas Kuzminskas added 12 points and eight rebounds for Lithuania, which also got 13 points from Donatas Motiejunas. Jonathan Tabu led Belgium with 15 points, and Axel Hervelle had 10 points and eight rebounds.
If Serbia beats Ukraine later and France defeats Latvia in the final game, Lithuania, Serbia and France will all advance.
