Keeton Leads Utah State to 70-6 Win

LOGAN,Utah (AP) - Chuckie Keeton threw for five first-half touchdowns, gaining 249 yards on 19-of-25 passing in the half, to pace Utah State past in-state rival Weber State 70-6 on Saturday night.

Joey DeMartino ran for three touchdowns, two in the first half, for USU (2-1, 1-0 Mountain West Conference), gaining 105 yards on eight carries over three quarters.

Keeton played only the first half, being replaced by Craig Harrison at the beginning of the third quarter with a 49-0 score. Harrison passed for 71 yards and a touchdown on 4-of-4 passing before being replaced, as well.

WSU (1-2) was led by freshman Austin Chipoletti who started his first game as a Wildcat, passing for 34 yards on 12-of-20 attempts. The lone Weber score came with 50 seconds left in the game after Spencer Unga recovered a high snap mishandled by USU and ran 38 yards for the score.
