RENO, Nev.— Coming off a three-game road trip and an eight-day layoff, the Reno Bighorns returned to the floor Tuesday night with a 98-91 victory over the Tulsa 66ers in the Reno Events Center.
Marcus Landry led six Bighorns in double figures with 19 points on the night, including three three-point field goals. Patrick Ewing Jr. finished with 17 points, and Aaron Miles recorded 13 in Reno’s second-straight victory.
Jeremy Lin, who was sent to Reno today on an NBA assignment from the Golden State Warriors, recorded 10 points in his NBA D-League debut.
Reno led by four through the first quarter and augmented the lead to 17 at the break, but Tulsa would charge back. The 66ers cut the deficit to single digits late in the final period, but the Bighorns held on and kept their perch atop the Western Conference standings.
Latavious Williams led the 66ers with 17 points on the night, while Ryan Reid chipped-in 14.
The ‘Horns now hit the road to face-off with the Bakersfield Jam on Thursday night in the Jam Events Center. Tip-time is set for 7 p.m.
The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center this holiday weekend for a two-game series against the Idaho Stampede on Jan. 1 and Jan. 2. Tip-off for Saturday’s game is set for 7 p.m.
