JC Running Back Gives Verbal Commitment to Nevada

RENO, Nev. - Scout.com is reporting that Iowa Western running back Don Jackson has given his verbal commitment to play for Nevada beginning next season. He also had an offer from Iowa State.

The 6-foot, 210 pound redshirt freshman ran for 574 yards and five touchdowns this season, despite missing three games due to injuries. He led the Reivers to a 12-0 record and the Junior College National Championship. Jackson averaged 8.7 yards per carry this season.

Jackson originally committed to play for Washington State out of Luguna Creek high school down in Elk Grove, California.

The Wolf Pack is loaded at running back next season. Stefphon Jefferson will be a senior, and both Nick Hale and Anthony Knight will also be back in 2013.
