INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Rob Gronkowski hasn't had any setbacks after his first practice on his injured left ankle.

Coach Bill Belichick said Friday, "I think he was OK this morning" and "we're certainly moving in the right direction."

The All-Pro tight end practiced for the Super Bowl for the first time on a limited basis Thursday since suffering a high ankle sprain 11 days earlier in the Patriots 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC championship game.

"I don't think we had any setbacks," Belichick said of Gronkowski, who has been getting treatment "morning, noon and night" and has improved every day.

The Patriots' last practice for Sunday's championship game against the New York Giants was scheduled for later Friday. They plan a walk through on Saturday.
