Former Pack Star's Mother Elected to Basketball Hall of Fame

SAN ANTONIO - Pamela McGee will be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.

McGee won back-to-back NCAA Championships as an All-American at USC. She also won a gold meadal with Team USA at the 1984 Olympics. McGee was the second overall pick back in the 1997 WNBA Draft, playing for two seasons with the Sacramento Monarchs and the Los Angeles Sparks.

McGee is the mother of former Wolf Pack center JaVale McGee, who's currently playing for the Washington Wizards.

"Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts is also in the 2012 Hall of Fame class, joining Dawn Staley, Nikki McCray, Inge Nissen and Nancy Fahey.

A date for the formal 2012 induction ceremony has not been set.
