PHOENIX - Former Wolf Pack pitcher Eddie Bonine has signed a minor league deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports that Bonine will earn $500,000 if he reaches the major league level. D'backs general manager Kevin Towers was the GM of the San Diego Padres when they selected Bonine in the 23rd round of the 2003 MLB Draft.
Bonine has a 7-3 career record with a 4.73 ERA in parts of three big league seasons; all of them with the Detroit Tigers.
He missed all of last season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
There's a good chance that Bonine could play for the Reno Aces next season.
