Former Pack Star Overbay Signs with Brewers

MILWAUKEE - Former Wolf Pack baseball star Lyle Overbay has signed a minor league deal with the Milwaukee Brewers. The deal includes an invitation to Spring Training.

Overbay, 36, played with the Yankees last season, batting .240 with 14 home runs and 59 RBI.

He has a .267 batting average over his 13 year career, with 342 doubles, 147 home runs and 640 RBI in 1,446 major league games.

Overbay played for the Brewers in 2004 and 2005, and still holds the franchise-record with 53 doubles in 2004.

He was an All-American at Nevada back in 1999.
