BOSTON -- Former Wolf Pack third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff is back in the major leagues for the first time since 2011.
The Texas Rangers purchased his contract from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.
Kouzmanoff has a career .255 batting average with 85 home runs and 361 RBI in parts of six big league seasons.
The 32-year-old was batting .313 in four games with the Express this year, with five hits in 16 at-bats.
Kouzmanoff was the WAC Player of the year in his one and only season at Nevada. He is one of only four player in major league history to hit a grad slam in his first big league at-bat.
