Former Wolf Pack outfielder/catcher Chris Gimenez had his contract purchased from Triple-A on Tuesday. He's been added to the Texas Rangers official roster.
Gimenez was batting .259 with four home runs and 16 RBI in 31 games at Round Rock this season. He has a .199 career batting average with six home runs and 30 RBI in 143 major league games.
He was originally a 19th round pick by the Cleveland Indians back in the 2004 MLB draft. He's played in the bigs with the Indians, Mariners and the Rays.
