Former Wolf Pack forward Dario Hunt was taken in the first round of the NBA D-League draft on Friday. Hunt was selected with the 16th overall pick by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
The 6-foot-8, 238 pound Hunt was an All-WAC second team selection his senior season at Nevada, averaging 10.3 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game. He was also named to the All-WAC Defensive team. Hunt is the school's all-time leader with 270 career blocked shots.
After graduating from Nevada, Hunt signed with BC Odessa, a team that competes in the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague (UBSL.) He averaged 6.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game before being released. He then signed with Pro A team Nuernberger BC in Germany.
