MIAMI - Former Wolf Pack cornerback Jonathon Amaya signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday. Amaya was one of the Saints final cuts this preseason.

Amaya went undrafted out of Nevada and originally signed a free agent contract with Miami back in 2009. He was dealt to the Saints during training camp last season as part of the Reggie Bush trade.

He played in all 16 games last season, making nine tackles and forcing a fumble on special teams. He also made 10 tackles (five solo) on defense.

Amaya led the Wolf Pack with 89 tackles as a senior, being named to the All-WAC second team in 2009.
