Former Wolf Pack catcher Konrad Schmidt has been claimed off of waivers by the Texas Rangers. He's also been added to their major league roster.
Schmidt, played in four games with the Diamondbacks last season.
He spent most of the year with the Reno Aces, hitting 277 with 24 doubles, seven home runs and 47 RBIs. He was also dangerous behind the plate, throwing out 25.5 percent of base runners.
