The Fernley Vaqueros upset the Truckee Wolverines, 7-0, to end Truckee's record-tying 41-game winning streak.
With a win, the Wolverines would have set a new Nevada state record with 42 consecutive wins. But Fernley's defense pitched a shutout, and Skylar Williams scored the game's only touchdown on a 14-yard quarterback keeper with 1:57 remaining in the 4th quarter.
This is Truckee's first loss since 2008. The Wolverines fall to 5-1 this season. Fernley improves to 6-1.
