Dodgeball Tournament Benefits Injured Winter Action Sports Athletes.

(Truckee, Calif.) -- The High Fives Foundation is happy to announce the 2nd Annual Truckee Dodgeball Tournament.

"Nothing takes you back to childhood quite like throwing a bunch of rubber balls as hard as you can at your friends," said Alicia Barr, co-owner, FiftyFifty Breweing Co. "Partnering with the High Fives Foundation for the first annual event last year was an absolute blast, and a really great way to bring the community together for some old school fun. We are really excited about going even bigger and better this year!"

The cost to participate is $150 per (six-to-10 person) team. Space is limited to the first sixteen teams to register. Teams will compete for amazing prizes and bragging rights while raising funds for winter action sports athletes that have suffered a life-altering injury.

"The Annual Truckee Dodgeball Tournament is for all hard core people, those who think they are hard core and for others that need a good laugh," said Daron Rahlves, professional skier. "This tournament was the highlight of my fall last year. I'm looking forward to good times with the community while raising money for my favorite non-profit, the High Fives Foundation."

Rahlves added, "On Oct. 21, the Sugar Bowl Academy Team will be fired up to throw down the 5 D's - dodge, dip, duck, dive and dodge - for tournament domination."

The tournament is presented by Northwestern Mutual - Ryan Williams, FiftyFifty Brewing Co., and the Truckee Tahoe Airport. Register today for the Sunday, October 21 event in person at the CR Johnson Healing Center, online at or by calling (530)587-4453.
