LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) - Alberto Contador and the International Cycling Union have reached an undisclosed financial agreement after the governing body tried to impose a €2.4 million ($3.1 million) fine for his positive doping test at the 2010 Tour de France.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport says it "has been informed of an amicable settlement between the UCI and A. Contador regarding this issue."

The court says it has "terminated the arbitration" between the parties.

A CAS panel has considered the UCI's request to impose a fine since February, when Contador was banned for two years for testing positive for clenbuterol.

Contador was stripped of his third Tour title even though the CAS panel ruled that a contaminated supplement was likely to blame. The court rejected his claim that he ate contaminated meat.
