JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Police in Juneau are investigating whether a player was punched and knocked unconscious by a coach during a boxing match held last year at an out-of-state football camp.
The Juneau Empire (http://bit.ly/10wjrk0 ) reports two Thunder Mountain High School coaches have been placed on administrative leave. One piece of evidence police are looking at is grainy video that appears to show the incident. It was posted on YouTube but has since been removed. It's not clear who shot the video.
School district officials say they found out last week about the boxing match, which took place last summer during a team trip to a football camp in Oregon.
Superintendent Glenn Gelbrich says in a prepared statement that the district is concerned the incident went unreported for nearly nine months.
