Burton Adds Another Honor

RENO, Nev. – University of Nevada senior point guard Deonte Burton has added another honor to a long list during his four-year career, being named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches District 17 first team. Burton was also named to team in 2012.

Earlier this week Burton was named to the All-Mountain West first team and United States Basketball Writers Association District VIII team.

Burton is averaging 20 points, 4.5 assists and 4.4 rebounds in 38.6 minutes per game. He ranks second in the MW and 24th nationally in scoring while his minutes per game is third nationally.

Nevada opens play in the 2014 Reese’s Mountain West Championship on Thursday in the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas at 8:30 p.m. The third seeded Wolf Pack plays the winner of Wednesday’s game between #6 Boise State and #11 San Jose State.
