Bighorns Fall in Rio Grande

Hidalgo, TX, Dec. 20, 2012 — The Reno Bighorns trailed for much of the game against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and were never able to overcome the deficit, falling 104-96. The Bighorns, who trailed by as many as 22 points, cut the Vipers lead to nine points with 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter, but weren’t able to close the gap any further.

Darnell Jackson led the Bighorns with 25 points and eight rebounds. In his first game with the Bighorns, Memphis Grizzlies’ assignee, Josh Selby, had 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

The Vipers were led by Chris Johnson, who had 28 points and went 7-11 from the three-point line.

The Bighorns travel to Austin, Tex. tomorrow to face the Toros. The game starts at 5:30 p.m. PST and can be seen on Youtube.
