Bighorns Drop Season Opener

RENO, NEV, Nov. 30 2012 — The Reno Bighorns late rally fell short against the Santa Cruz Warriors Friday night at the Bighorns home opener at the Reno Events Center. The final score was 101-95.

The Bighorns, who trailed most the night, cut the Warriors lead to one point with 1:36 left in the game. Garrett Temple led the way for the Bighorns with 23 points in 42 minutes. Anthony Richardson scored 22 points on 7-11 shooting.

Kent Bazemore of the Warriors, assigned to the team today from the Golden State Warriors, scored 27 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. The Warriors shot 46.4% from the floor and also shot 42.9% from the three-point line.

The Bighorns Opening Weekend continues on Sunday, December 2nd at 3 p.m., with the first Kids Court Time of the season. All kids are invited to stay after the game and shoot hoops on the floor with Bighorns player.
