Bighorns Defeat Jam at Home

Reno — The Reno Bighorns defeated the Bakersfield Jam 105-98 Saturday night. The Bighorns are now 2-0 at home this season.

Tajaun Porter had a team-high 19 points, Brandon Heath had 6 assists and Bryan Davis added 12 rebounds to lead the Bighorns to the victory.

Bakersfield's James Nunnally had a game-high 29 points and 7 rebounds. The Bighorns shot 49% from the field and out-rebounded Bakersfield 49 to 40.

Heath had 10 points in the 1st quarter, two of which were 3-pointers. He was also 4-5 from the field. Reno never trailed in the first half.

The Jam made a late comeback in the second half with 1:49 left in the third quarter. After three lead changes in the third quarter, the Jam had the advantage going into the fourth quarter 79-78.

Despite the late rally, the Bighorns held on for the win. Reno and Bakersfield will face off again Sunday, December 15th at 3pm. Tickets are still available.
