RENO, Nev.— The Reno Aces, in conjunction with the Arizona Diamondbacks, have announced that RHP Evan Marshall’s contract has been selected by the Diamondbacks, and he will join the team in Milwaukee.
Marshall will be making his Major League debut with the Diamondbacks.
The right-hander was 0-1 with a 0.54 ERA and one save in 14 games this year for Reno. In 16.2 innings, Marshall had struck out 19 batters and walked just five.
In a corresponding move, the Diamondbacks have optioned RHP Mike Bolsinger to Reno. Bolsinger, who was recalled on April 10, went 1-2 with a 6.08 ERA in five games for the Diamondbacks. In two starts for the Aces before his recall, Bolsinger was 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA and 10 strikeouts.
The Diamondbacks also announced today that RHP Matt Stites has been transferred to the Aces from Double-A Mobile. In 12 innings for the BayBears, Stites had posted a 3.75 ERA and three saves. Stites will be making his Triple-A debut.
