RENO, Nev. – LPGA Hall-of-Fame golfer Annika Sorenstam again returns to the Reno-Tahoe Open to help kick off the region’s only PGA TOUR tournament with the award-winning golf clinic and demonstration event, Women’s Day, Sunday, July 28.
Presented by Barrick Gold of North America, tickets are on sale now and include access to the Sunday afternoon event, which also features seven-time Canadian Women’s Long Drive Champion Lisa “Longball” Vlooswyk.
Ticket holders also receive on-site parking on Sunday, a premier goodie bag, two season tickets to the 15th annual Reno-Tahoe Open and two Mirassou Wine Walk passes. Capping off the day on the course is an expertly prepared dinner and wine pairing featuring Mondavi wines and presented by Dolan Automotive Group.
Start the day off at 3 p.m. on the driving range at Montrêux Golf & Country Club where attendees can purchase raffle tickets benefitting The Children’s Cabinet, the PGA TOUR’s “Charity of the Year,” for a chance at a short one-on-one golf session during the clinic with Annika. The action officially begins at 3:30 p.m. when ladies learn from the pros during the prize-winning solo clinic and demonstration with Annika. Take a break in between sessions to enjoy sumptuous appetizers accompanied by personally-selected wines from the Mondavi Family, followed by a second golf demo by “Lisa Longball,” who currently sits at No. 5 in the world for the Ladies Long Drive.
Afterward, head over to the custom-built hospitality suite on the 18th green, created just for VIPs of the Reno-Tahoe Open, for a mouthwatering meal prepared by acclaimed chefs Mark Estee and Colin Smith, accompanied by a motivational speech from “Lisa Longball” herself. The special meal is complimented by an array of hand-selected wines from the Robert Mondavi Winery in California’s renowned Napa Valley and is finished off with a complimentary keepsake gift from the Reno-Tahoe Open Women’s Day Committee, chaired by Debbie Feutsch.
Individual tickets are available for $250 each. A portion of the day’s proceeds benefit The Children’s Cabinet, thanks in part to presenting sponsor Barrick Gold of North America and Women’s Day charity sponsor Wells Fargo Bank.
