Aces Make Numerous Roster Changes

RENO - The Reno Aces lost four players to other teams today, but did add a pitcher from Double-A.

Sean Burroughs had his contract purchased by the Diamondbacks. Burroughs batted .250 in 24 games with Arizona this season. He was just sent down to Triple-A last week. Burroughs was batting a team-high .412 with 11 doubles, two home runs and 25 RBI with Reno this year.

Sam Demel is also back with the D'Backs. Demel just wrapped up a rehab stint with the Aces.

The Aces also traded pitcher Matt Torra to Tampa Bay today. Torra was 4-2 this season with a 6.07 ERA in 15 games with Reno.

Tom Layne was sent down to Double-A Mobile. Layne was 7-3 overall with a 6.25 ERA in 21 games with the Aces, nine of them starts. He had only won two games in his last six appearances.

Wade Miley was called up from Mobile to take Layne's roster spot. Miley was 9-4 with a 3.41 ERA with the BayBears. It's his first trip to Triple-A.
